Give Yourself Positive Reinforcement: It’s important to reinforce and reward yourself for achieving progress. Rewarding yourself with give you that boost of confidence and reinforcement that you need in order to continue working toward your goal. When you set a measurable goal, then you can better monitor your progress and set milestones. For example, if your goal is to lose 20 pounds in the next year, then set milestones that you will reward yourself with a massage, a new book or CD or something you enjoy every 5 pounds that you lose.
